Nei giorni scorsi, il Comune di Villasimius ha ospitato incontri cruciali per la creazione di gruppi di stakeholder coinvolti nel progetto Blue4All, segnando un passo avanti significativo verso la co-gestione innovativa delle aree marine protette. Alla presenza di autorità, operatori economici e professionisti del settore, si è discusso come riorganizzare le zone di protezione marina beneficiando delle risorse offerte dal progetto europeo HORIZON Europe Ocean Mission.
Il focus di questi incontri, sostenuti dalla collaborazione tra l'Area Marina Protetta Capo Carbonara e la Fondazione MEDSEA, era la costituzione di un team multidisciplinare per la ri-zonizzazione dell'AMP Capo Carbonara. Questo processo è essenziale per testare strumenti innovativi messi a disposizione da Blue4All, con l'obiettivo di rafforzare la gestione delle Aree Marine Protette in Europa.
L'incontro ha visto la partecipazione di figure chiave, tra cui il sindaco di Villasimius, Gianluca Dessì, che ha sottolineato come l'Area Marina Protetta rappresenti una grande opportunità di crescita e benessere per la comunità. La presenza di istituzioni come ISPRA, l'Assessorato Regionale della Difesa dell'Ambiente, la Capitaneria di Porto, il Corpo Forestale, l'Università di Cagliari e il Centro Nazionale Ricerche ha arricchito il dibattito, confermando l'importanza di una collaborazione sinergica.
Il progetto Blue4All emerge come una grande opportunita´per ripensare l'attuale configurazione delle AMP, grazie agli anni di studio e ricerca che ne hanno evidenziato la necessità. Attraverso la creazione di una Piattaforma Blueprint per le AMP, Blue4All aspira a fornire strumenti accessibili, intuitivi ed efficaci per affrontare le sfide ambientali odierne, rappresentando un ampio spettro di condizioni geografiche e di governance.
La Fondazione MEDSEA gioca un ruolo fondamentale in questa iniziativa, lavorando incessantemente per la tutela e il ripristino degli ecosistemi marino-costieri, con l'obiettivo di accelerare la transizione ecologica nel Mediterraneo. La partecipazione attiva di più di 100 partner dimostra l'ampio sostegno internazionale alla causa, evidenziando l'impegno condiviso verso la conservazione della biodiversità e l'adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici.

In recent days, the Municipality of Villasimius has hosted critical meetings for the creation of stakeholder groups involved in the Blue4All project, marking a significant step forward towards innovative co-management of marine protected areas. With the presence of authorities, economic operators, and sector professionals, discussions revolved around re-organizing marine protection zones benefiting from the resources offered by the HORIZON Europe Ocean Mission project.
The focus of these meetings, supported by the collaboration between Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area and the MEDSEA Foundation, was on forming a multidisciplinary team for the re-zoning of the AMP Capo Carbonara. This process is essential for testing innovative tools provided by Blue4All, aiming to strengthen the management of Marine Protected Areas in Europe.
The meeting saw the participation of key figures, including the mayor of Villasimius, Gianluca Dessì, who highlighted how the Marine Protected Area represents a great opportunity for growth and well-being for the community. The presence of institutions such as ISPRA, the Regional Department of Environmental Defense, the Harbor Master's Office, the Forest Corps, the University of Cagliari, and the National Research Center enriched the debate, confirming the importance of synergistic collaboration.
The Blue4All project emerges as a great opportunity to rethink the current configuration of the MPAs, thanks to years of study and research that have highlighted the need. Through the creation of a Blueprint Platform for MPAs, Blue4All aspires to provide accessible, intuitive, and effective tools to tackle today's environmental challenges, representing a wide spectrum of geographic conditions and governance.
The MEDSEA Foundation plays a fundamental role in this initiative, working tirelessly for the protection and restoration of marine-coastal ecosystems, with the goal of accelerating the ecological transition in the Mediterranean.
